I was born on Guam, where my father served in the U.S. Navy, and grew up in Tucson, Arizona and New Delhi, India.  I graduated from the University of Vermont, and many years later earned a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.  My earlier career focused on international trade and policy issues in downtown Washington, D.C.  Now I am a therapist at a private, non-profit counseling center in Northern Virginia.


I enjoy cooking and collecting vintage ccokbooks, reading, especially graphic novels and memoirs, and doing crossword puzzles and acrostics.  I am happy to report that, after years of practice, I am now able to master the NYTs Sunday puzzles more often than not!
